Silver Springs Garden Concept

The new community garden is seeking any and all donations of used gardening equipment. Anything from tools to hoses will be greatly appreciated. Other items that the community garden needs include: soil, organic yard waste (grass clippings, leaves, etc.), pallets, and more. If you have any of these items, would like to volunteer, or know more about the community garden and its efforts please email emmacunningham14@gmail.com. Thanks!

Wendell Berry’s Jefferson Lecture

Mr. Wendell E Berry recently became the first true Jeffersonian to deliver the jefferson Lecture. The truths he speaks are indeed self-evident. I take the fact that the lecture organizers felt the need to publicly state that Mr. Berry’s words did not reflect the official policy of the U.S. Government to be a sure sign of the lecture’s veracity. This is a 35 to 40 minute read but Mr. Berry’s insights are a bright and shining light on the path to a better world. The time will be well invested.
